How has Singapore managed to stay clean and incorrupt? PM David Cameron asked me to contribute an essay on Singapore’s experience, for a book launched at the Anti-Corruption Summit last week in London. SMS Indranee Rajah attended the Summit, with support from CPIB, MINLAW and MFA officers.
My essay cited specific stories and events in our long and continuing fight against corruption. For it is easy to list good principles and policies, but much harder to make them a reality. Our success owes much to past and present Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau, Singapore officers, as well as officers from the Attorney-General's Chambers, Home Team and other agencies.
